Interview with School Boy Humor.

Uma coisa é sonhar, e outra completamente diferente é fazer esse sonho acontecer: Se você não está disposto a colocar tudo na linha, todo o talento do mundo ainda não lhe trará mais perto de seu objetivo. Apesar da sua juventude, isso é algo que School Boy Humor sabe muito bem. Criada sobre o fundamento dos irmãos gêmeos Phil Evans e Anthony, School Boy Humor não vai parar em nada até fazer um forte impacto no mundo da música.

It’s one thing to dream, and entirely another to make that dream reality: If you’re not willing to lay it all on the line, all the talent in the world still won’t bring you any closer to your goal. Despite their youth, this is something that School Boy Humor knows all too well.
Built upon the foundation of twin brothers Phil and Anthony Evans, School Boy Humor will stop at nothing to make a heavy impact on the music world.

ETeen: Vocês lançaram alguns EP’s na internet, certo? Qual gostam mais?

ETeen: You’ve released a few EP’s on the internet, right? Which one you like most?

Phil: Estamos curtindo nossos 3 novos singles “7 Minutes in Heaven” & “Sex & Rock ‘n Roll”. Estas canções ainda tem nossas antigas raízes do punk pop, mas também implementamos sons eletrônicos nelas. E como sempre eles são cativantes! Liricamente nós gostamos delas porque tem letras muito divertidas e otimistas para que as pessoas possam dançar e festejar! Nós só queremos nos divertir e nós queremos que nossos fãs também!

Phil: We are most fond of our 3 newest singles “7 Minutes in Heaven” & “Sex & Rock ‘n Roll”. These songs still have our old pop punk roots, but we also implement electronic/club sounds in them. And as always they are catchy! Lyrically we like them because they are very fun upbeat lyrics that people can dance and party to! We just wanna have fun and we want our fans to as well!

ETeen: Quem teve a ideia para a capa do single “7 Minutes in Heaven” ? O que as fãs acharem disso?

ETeen: Who had the idea of making the cape of the single “7 Minutes in Heaven”? What the fans think about it?

Phil: Na verdade Anthony recebeu uma mensagem de uma garota no twitter, e ele respondeu de volta com “só se você pagar 7 minutos no céu comigo” .. e isso faiscou a ideia para a música … todo mundo lembra desse jogo da escola!

Phil: Anthony actually got a message from a girl on twitter, and he responded back with “only if you play 7 minutes in heaven with me”..and this sparked the topline for the song…everyone remembers this game from high school!

ETeen: Vocês pretendem juntar essas 3 músicas que lançaram e fazer um CD ou um EP?

ETeen: Do you intend to join the 3 songs you released and make a CD or an EP?

Phil: Não, nós sentimos que as crianças são tão versáteis e hiperativas esses dias .. que se não permanecermos relevantes então as pessoas vão esquecer de nós! Então nós achamos que lançar uma nova canção a cada dois meses a galera vai nos manter relevantes!

Phil: Nope, we feel that kids are so fickle and add these days..that if we don’t stay relevant then people will forget about us! So we think that releasing a new song every couple months will keep us relevant!

ETeen: Como foi trabalhar com Geoff Rockwell?

ETeen: How was working with Geoff Rockwell?

Phil: Geoff é um gênio, isso é tudo .. ele sabe exatamente o que quer, e nós continuaremos a trabalhar com ele em outros lançamentos!

Phil: Geoff is a genious, that is all..he knows exactly what we want, and we will continue to work with him on further releases!

ETeen: Vocês são irmãos e sempre viajam juntos: muitas brigas acontecem ou não?

ETeen: You are brothers always traveling together: a lot of fights happen or no?

Phil: Claro … nós brigamos por tudo … mas no final, nós somos iguais com objetivos iguais .. para ter sucesso fazendo o que amamos.

Phil: Of course…we bicker over everything …but in the end, we are the same person with the same goal..to succeed doing what we love.

ETeen: Como você lida com o assédio dos fãs?

ETeen: How do you deal with harassment from fans?

Phul: Não tenho certeza o que essa questão quer dizer .. nós não somos assediados!! (risos) Nós amamos nossos fãs .

Phil: Not sure what this question is asking.. we don’t get harrased!! (laughs) We love our fans.

ETeen: A agenda de vocês está lotada. Qual foi o lugar mais legal que vocês já tocaram?

ETeen: The agenda of you is full . What was the coolest place you’ve ever played?

Phil: Nós gostamos de tocar em qualquer lugar que tivermos fãs que saem e cantam muito e se divertem. O lugar faz o show bom .. para nós são os fãs!

Phil: We enjoy playing anywhere where we have fans that come out and sing a long and have a good time. The place doesn’t make a concert good..for us its the fans!

ETeen: E, claro, por que o nome “School Boy Humor” ?

ETeen: And, of course, why the name “School Boy Humor”?

Phil: Nós estavamos assistindo um documentário do Blink 182, e o narrador disse que o Blink era conhecido por “Schoolboy Humor” .. nós descobrimos que isso nos descreve muito bem .. estão escolhemos esse nome! Blink é a nossa banda favorita!

Phil: We were watching a Blink 182 documentary, and the narrator said Blink was known for their “Schoolboy Humor”..we figured it described us as well..so we went with it! Blink is our alltime fav band!

ETeen: Meninos, agora podem deixar um recado para os fãs e para as pessoas que estão conhecendo vocês agora.

ETeen: Boys, now you can leave a message for the fans and the people that is knowing you now.

Phil: Para todos os schoolboys/schoolgirls por aí, muito obrigado por nos apoiar. Isso realmente significa muito e nós não estariamos aqui sem vocês!
